ReproDesk Installation

Put your ReproDesk CD in your drive and let the autorun start or double click the Ocemenu icon on your CD.

  • Select your language and click OK.
  • Select the Install icon and the setup will start to run.
  • Setup will want to determine your system configuration so click OK.
  • A System Configuration screen will appear. Look to see that you have Internet Explorer 5.0 or newer and at least 64 megs of Ram and click Continue.
  • The Install Shield Wizard will appear, Click Next.
  • The license agreement will appear, Click Yes.
  • Type in your name and company name and click Next.
  • The Major Products page will appear, select Remote and type 4239561725 as the Install Key, click Next.
  • The Minor Products page will appear, select ApFtp and User Documentation and click Next.
  • The Folder Locations page will appear. You can change these locations to wherever is best or accept the defaults. (The AutoCAD Font folder location doesn't matter at all since you already create plot files. Also, be careful not to use the vic folder for anything else because ReproDesk deletes all files from that folder automatically whenever you open it.) Click Next.
  • The Other Configurations page will appear, Select US measuring and Create a shortcut on the desktop, if you wish. Click Next.
  • Select a Program Folder and Click Next.
  • ReproDesk will install.
  • The Remote Custom Files installation box will appear, browse to your CD drive and select the Custom folder. Click OK.
  • ReproDesk will complete the install.
  • The ApFtp box will appear asking if you would like to configure the ApFtp software. Click Yes.
  • The Ftp Configuration box appears. *Please call or email John Darnall at 425-882-2600, johnd@drsi.net, for a username and password*
  • ReproDesk will ask to restart your computer, click No.

If you are installing ReproDesk for the first time, you will need to configure it for your specific needs. If this is an upgrade, ReproDesk should keep all of your defaults from the previous version.
 
ReproDesk Configuration

  • Start ReproDesk
  • Go to the Configure pull down menu and click on Defaults.
  • Select the Paper Sizes tab and uncheck the ISO A and ISO B boxes.

Select the Job Default Settings tab and select the appropriate defaults you would like for the Paper Size and Default Pen Set. Click OK.

Sending Your First Order

  • Open ReproDesk.
  • Click the Add Files icon and add a print ready file.
  • Click the Send Job icon, a Send Job To box will appear.
  • Click Modem and click the New box under Communications Method.
  • Type FTP to Digital in the Method Name field.
  • Click Browse in the Executable field.
  • Select ApFtp.exe in the c:\ocerd folder and click Open. 
  • Leave the Script and Additional Arguments fields blank and click OK.
  • Fill out the form. The darkened fields are required.
  • Click Submit. The order form (as we read it) will appear. You can print a copy of the order form for your records if you like and click the Send Job button.

Your job should zip up into your temp folder and start sending to us. If not, please call and we can troubleshoot any problems.
