How to make a plot file in ACAD2000 thru 2004
How to make a plot file in ACAD2000, 2002 and 2004 HPGL2 driver using embedded weights and screens: AutoCAD will be in control of weights and screens. - In AutoCAD go to the File pull down and select Plotter Manager.
- A new window will open, double click the Add a Plotter Wizard.
- The Add Plotter Introduction Page opens. Click Next.
- To begin, select My Computer. Click Next.
- For the Plotter Model - Manufacturers, select Hewlett Packard. Models, select the DesignJet 650C C2598B. Click Next.
- A Driver Information screen appears. Click Continue.
- In the Import Pcp or Pc2 box, just Click Next.
- Click the Plot to File button on the Ports page. Click Next.
- In the Plotter Name box you can accept the name given or name it something that makes sense to you, like Digital Repro. Click Next.
- In the Finish page just Click Finish.
- Open the AutoCAD drawing.
- Select the appropriate Layout.
- Go to the File pull down menu and select Page Setup
- Go to the Plot Device Tab and apply the new plotter you just created in the Plotter Configuration field and the .ctb file that has your weights and screens applied.
- Make sure your .ctb file has all colors set to black.
- Go to the Layout Settings tab and set your paper size, scale and plot area.
- Click OK.
- Go to the File pull down menu and select Plot.
- In this box you can see all of the settings you made in Page Setup. Note the path and filename for your .plt file. You can also preview your plot file.
- Click OK.
